As indicated by the title "Pelvis," a large human pelvis is depicted at the center, surrounded by various images of living creatures. The pink lines reference Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus.” Inside the pelvis, a statue of a pregnant woman evokes the birth of life. After giving birth in Indonesia, Imazu followed local custom by burying her placenta in the ground, allowing a plant to grow at that spot. This work brings forth the undeniable fact about the emergence of life.
