MOSES ZIBOR

Fountain of Brotherhood(1)
Moses Zibor was born in Lagos, Nigeria, in 1978. He graduated from the Yaba College of Technology (Nigeria) in 2008. After pursuing a variety of jobs, he returned to formal art studies at the Almaty Art School in Kazakhstan in 2017. Around 2020, amid the global momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement, he began to develop his artistic practice more seriously. His work explores a unique surrealist approach inspired by the landscapes he sees in his dreams and the sketches he continually documents. Throughout his practice, he layers the differing cultures of Nigeria, his birthplace, and Kazakhstan, where he is currently based. In 2021, he held a solo exhibition at the Almaty Museum of Art in Kazakhstan.
